The Kansas City Symposium is a Verified Water Action Event.
Sports and entertainment venues play a critical role in protecting and replenishing water resources. As part of this effort, Verified Water—a trusted Green Sports Alliance water resource—has teamed up with GSA to offset the water footprint of the 2024 Kansas City Symposium.
While venues are working at optimizing water efficiency and reuse, some water use is essential and unavoidable in their operations. That’s where Verified Water steps in. We worked with GSA to quantify the water footprint of the event being held at CPKC Stadium, and then purchased the equivalent volume of Verified Water Credits (VWCs). As the water offset sponsor, Verified Water has helped compensate for the event's water use by financing water replenishment in a critical watershed.
We are proud to be both a member and partner of the GSA, and demonstrate this powerful and scalable example of how venues can easily participate in verifiable water action one event at a time.
